Right after the episcopal ordination and installation of the Most Rev. Anthony Timoner in Pagadian City on August 13, 2025, we made our way to Ipil in Zamboanga Sibugay, where another milestone awaited—the installation of the new bishop of the Diocese of Ipil, the Most Rev. Glenn Corsiga. Bishop Corsiga had been ordained in his home diocese of Dumaguete just a few weeks earlier, on July 29, 2025.
The three-hour journey from Pagadian to Ipil offered a quiet pause between two moments of grace. As the bus rolled past the green hills and coastal stretches of Mindanao, we found ourselves reflecting on how the Church continues to grow and renew itself through the ministry of its shepherds. Each ordination and installation was not just an event, but a reminder of the Spirit’s gentle movement—calling, sending, and sustaining those who serve.
Traveling from one diocese to another, from celebration to celebration, we were reminded that the life of the Church is truly a pilgrimage—a journey woven together by faith, service, and communion. Each bishop’s “yes” becomes part of the Church’s larger story, carrying forward the mission of Christ in new places and among new people.
