THE CHURCHES OF CAVITE

Since the Holy Week is near I will be posting pictures of churches as suggestions for the Visita Iglesia. There are many beautiful churches just outside of Manila which can be visited in a day’s trip. Since my weekends were free, I made it a point to visit as many  churches as possible. These are some of the churches that I visited in the past two years. It’s only now that I got the chance to arrange the pictures and have them posted. Will just be adding some historical tidbits about the churches later on.  

The nineteen churches presented here can be visited on a two-day trip. The first itinerary will have the following destinations: Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta, Cavite City, Rosario, Tanza, Naic, Maragondon and Ternate. The second trip will go to the following churches: General Trias, Dasmariñas, Silang, National Shrine of Our Lady of Salette, Mendez and Indang.  The churches of Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Carmona and Alfonso were visited on separate days.

Was surprised to see how well decorated was. I thought it was because of the wedding. I was told later on that the decorations especially of those hanging from the chandeliers were in preparation for Christmas.

The church of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (Aglipay) is just nearby the Catholic Church.
