THE BEACHES OF EL NIDO AND PORT BARTON, PALAWAN

Upon the invitation of Fr. Rey Aguanta, who was then the Apostolic Administrator of Taytay, Palawan, I was able to visit not only Taytay and several of its churches but also got the privilege to visit the famous beaches of El Nido and Port Barton in San Vicente, Palawan. 

 El Nido, Palawan

Just near the town of El Nido is the jump off point for island hopping in the Bacuit archipelago. Unlike Coron where you have to take a banca in order to go to a good beach, there are already coves and white sand beaches that can be found near the town of El Nido. But the beautiful beaches are found in the islands nearby.

Port Barton, San Vicente, Palawan

Port Barton is a much peaceful destination. There are still few tourists who come to this place.  There are no limestone cliffs in the islands, unlike in El Nido. But you have a good number of islands with white sand beaches. 

We had our lunch at Paradise Island

We stayed at the Elsa's Place in Port Barton.

Went for a scuba diving with Fr. Rey.

Got the chance to go scuba diving. 

There was this open air bar with some acoustic music.
