CHURCHES OF CAVITE: Part 2

I was invited by Bishop Oscar Florencio to give a talk to the members of the Pastoral Council of the St. Therese Shrine. The event was held at the Ecospirituality Center of the SVD Laudato Si Farm in Tagaytay City. Since the talk took place in the evening, I was graciously invited to stay overnight. During my previous visit to the SVD Farm, this beautiful spirituality center had not yet been built.

The following day, I took the opportunity to visit the last five parish churches in Cavite that I had not yet been to. These included the churches in Tagaytay, Amadeo, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, and Trece Martires.

Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite

At first, I thought the rays behind the crucifix were painted, but upon closer inspection, I realized they were made of cloth.

From Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, the Google maps said that it was only about 8 kilometers to Magallanes. However, we were taken to this dead end. It had an unfinished bridge which did not connect yet to the other side. So we had to take a round about way to reach Magallanes which took about 25 kilometers.

The Aglipayan church was beside the Catholic church just across the street.

What I noticed immediately upon approaching the church in Magallanes was a sign along the fence that read "Katoliko Ako." Directly across from it stood the Aglipayan Church. I couldn't help but wonder how the Aglipayans felt about the sign.
