After
attending the CLSP convention in Bacolod, I crossed to Iloilo where the Cebu Pacific
had direct flights to Tacloban. Not only was it more convenient for me but
since my flight was still on the following day,
it also gave me opportunity to explore again the beaches in Guimaras. It
had been a number of years since I was
in Guimaras. This time I was just alone in my adventure. I booked for a one night stay at the Raymen Beach Resort in
Alubihod, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras. After landing at the Jordan wharf I took a
tricycle to bring me to Raymen Beach Resort which was still about twenty five
kilometers away. Raymen Beach Resort is a popular place to go in Guimaras both
for locals and tourists alike. It is the nearest white sand beach and it is
also the jump off point for island hopping tours. Since it was already late in
the afternoon that I arrived, I just contented myself in walking along the
white beach area. Being a summer time there were plenty of guests at the
resort. The following day, I hired a
boat for the island hopping which brought to several islands and white
beaches nearby. Among them were the Ave
Maria island, Turtle island, Baras cave, Baras Beach, Pulang
Pasayan island, Natago Beach, Naburot island, SEAFDEC and one private resort.
