CHURCHES IN AGUSAN DEL SUR

     The province of Agusan del Sur is composed of 13 towns and one city: Bayugan City, Bunawan, Esperanza, La Paz, Loreto, Prosperidad (capital), Rosario, San Francisco, San Luis, Santa Josefa, Sibagat, Talacogon, Trento, Veruela.  Together with the province of Agusan del Norte, they compose the Diocese of Butuan.

AGUSAN DEL NORTE OF THE DIOCESE OF BUTUAN

     The province of Agusan del Norte is composed of 10 towns and one component city: Buenavista, Butuan City, Cabadbaran, Carmen, Jabonga, Kitcharao, Las Nieves, Magallanes, Nasipit, Remedios T. Romualdez, Santiago and Tubay.  I have visited five of the towns and the city in the province so far: Butuan City, Buenavista, Carmen, Kitcharao and Nasipit which are featured in this post.  The provinces of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur compose the Diocese of Butuan.

Visited also the places where Magellan was supposed to land. A group in Butuan insist that the first Mass was celebrated in Mazaua in Butuan rather than in Limasawa.
