DECLARATION OF THE ST. THERESE OF THE CHILD JESUS NATIONAL SHRINE

On March 16, 2026, the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, located along Marcos Highway in Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo City, was declared a National Shrine. This followed after the overwhelming approval of the bishops during the plenary assembly in July 2025.

The Shrine is conveniently located just right near the LRT2 Station of Antipolo (formerly known as Masinag Station)

I visited the church last October 2025 and it was still undergoing some renovations.

This was the inside of the church.  I noticed that during the shrine declaration, they  subdued the colored painting of the roof to just all white and the retablo from gold to silver. The side retablos flanking the main retablo were resized to form two niches, one on top of the other.
